This antique Chinese Altar Table is handcrafted in the early 19th century. Traditional Chinese design of "Double Ruyi Cloud" is ornately carved on the front of the table. The side panels of the table are uniquely carved as well. The wood plank used for the surface of this table is about two inches thick. The table is crafted with wooden pegs and a tenon structure; which is the very traditional craftsmanship for furniture making in ancient China. This is a very heavy table with great details of handwork. Excellent condition. Original patina and wear.
