The dark brown wood frame is intricately hand carved with lots of scrolls and auspicious bats with a traditional Chinese brass hanger at the top.
The white porcelain tile depicts a landscape of dreamy mountains with a calligraphic verse on the right that describes the scene with the artists chop/signature. In the forefront smaller rocks/hills/cliffs border a river with gorgeous trees and temples scattered throughout. People can be seen on the riverbank. A pleasing and tranquil landscape to look at that will fit into many a style of home.
San Soi or Mountain Water is a traditional Chinese style of painting that leads the eye from the forefront of the piece and into the landscape behind.
The tile / panel is held in place by tiny wood pegs.
