The rectangular top with canted corners has been carved from “sunset red” Sicilian marble, which is a ruddy brown color with lighter red inclusions and white veining. There is a quarter round molding along all edges that overhangs a cavetto cornice. Highly polished white carrara marble with gray veining has been used for the octagonal baluster base that has several layers of molding at the top and bottom. This 19th century carrara and sicilian marble table would make a fantastic center table for a foyer or entry hall. See less
