I took this piece to a local filming of "Antiques Roadshow" and while I didn't make it on TV here's what the appraiser said: "It's Southeast Asian. Likely Thai. 20th century. Possibly for the tourist trade and very well executed. Value: $300 to $500."
It is a heavy (3.5 lbs.) well-crafted piece. The four men are bolted in place. I believe this would have come with a stand.
