Anne … Read more This "one of a kind" fabric tapestry/collage was designed and hand sewn by Winter Park artist Anne Yates Burst. Anne collected a lot of beautiful designer fabrics during her years as an interior designer, and she has used many of her favorites in this hanging. You might recognize some Brunschwig & Fils, Cowtan & Tout, Boussac "Nakai" & "Leopard", and others in silks, wovens, velvets, rope cording, fringe, tassels and even a bit of costume jewelry..
While creating the design and the layout of the fabrics, trims and jewelry, Anne would think of Scheherazade, the fictional beautiful, well read and intelligent young woman who would weave together interesting and exotic stories to captivate her king. See less
