The lithograph print is printed in Japan in 1958. The Expressionist print is a page from an authentic vintage first edition artists publication of Chagall lithograph prints published by Harry N. Abrams Inc. New York. It features an artwork image originally created by Chagall in 1926 titled " Flowers in Mourillon ".

Marc Chagall ( 1887 - 1985 ) The French Russian born Jewish Expressionist artist is known for both his sense of color and fluid aesthetic. His early Modernist artworks explore concepts and themes of spirituality, angelic influences, and the Jewish cultural life human experience. Chagall is commonly regarded as the quintessential preeminent Jewish artist of The Twentieth Century. His mastery of the expressive language of color, and creations in nearly every medium and form of art won him recognition as a leading figure in world Modern Art.

The lithograph print plate image measures 7 1/4" W X 9" H, on a page backing that is 8 1/8" W X 11 1/2" H. The print is attached to the page with a method called " tipping " where it is attached by hand on three corners. There is unrelated text on the reverse back side of the page that refers to a different artwork image.

The rare out of print Expressionist lithograph print is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling to the page backing. It has never been framed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. See less
