“Room In New York” by famed American Artist Edward Hopper. This is the poster to have, as it was printed back in the 1980’s and was published by Art Leaders, Pasadena for the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery (Museum) at the University of Nebraska.

With ‘Chop Suey” just selling for $89 million, this is the original poster to have. There are a lot of cheap reproductions out there that were printed yesterday. This is the authorized, and official licensed poster done for the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery who owns the original painting. The poster is in excellent original condition, and has never been circulated, still in the original wrapping from the printer.
Paper and Ink look like it was printed this morning, but it wasn't it was printed in 1980'S.


Edward Hopper's thoughts on this painting:
The idea for Room in New York had been in my mind a long time before I painted it. It was suggested by glimpses of lighted interiors seen as I walked along the city streets at night, probably near the district where I live (Washington Square), although it's no particular street or house, but it is rather a synthesis of many impressions.“
