Looking out over the piers and boathouses, Eve Nethercott's unique composition features neutral and primary colors complemented by the soft green of the shallow water. As the docks lead up along the shore (where the viewer is situated) and into the boathouses and piers, the scene becomes more complex, althought retaining significant tranquility and quaintness.
