It is Completely Hand Made - Hand Woven Out of Indigenous Brown Ash Wood Splint. It is in Very Nice all Original Condition with Excellent Natural Aged Color and Patina. It still Retains its Original Braided Cloth Straps and Metal Buckles. Maine Backpack Baskets such as these have been made for many years they were made in various sizes - this one being a Scarce Small Child's Size. These types of Baskets Can be Hung on the Wall where they Display Nicely as Decor. You Can Add a Plant, Flowers or ? to Enhance its Display. I purchased this Basket on one of my recent picking trips in the Down East - Coastal Maine Region.
