There are 3 side chairs and a single captains armchair each of which are upholstered in a row tufted woven "oatmeal" patterned textile that fully covers the front through the back as well as the seat. Their streamlined simple oiled and clear varnished teak frames appear at the sides of the tall chairbacks like tuxedo stripes and have round capped tips that give way to the waterfall upholstered headrest. The clean lined minimalist frames follow suit showing straight legs with square stretchers that flank the sides and the rear. They are positioned about 3 inches below the discrete skirt supports that are inset and sit discretely just beneath the seats. There are no makers marks discoverable but the style of this set is attributed to D-Scan from the 1970s which was manufactured in Singapore. This seating set is quintessential to a MCM motif. See less
