Super cool sculpture by Danish artist Michael Geertsen (b 1966). Works by Geertsen reside in some of the most exclusive museums and collections around the world: The Metropolitan Museum, Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum and MAD/Museum of Arts and Design, The Victoria and Albert Museum in London and Designmuseum Danmark in Copenhagen.
Funky "Standing Object" sculpture looking every bit the hybrid of fungus meets alien with an abstract, three legged form, finished in a burnt rust orange, highlighted by the white glazed protrusions and slick metallic gold. The best in high end, fine art ceramics.
Measures about 7.5"x 7"x 7". In excellent condition, no chips or cracks. Signed and coded by the artist and retaining its original Jason Jacques Gallery label from an exhibition. Jacques is the exclusive representative for Geertsen in the US.
