This is the artists second most important artwork, with the 1959 pink Cadillac tail-fins being the most popular. This painting put the artist on the map. He showed for over twenty years in the special artists display for the "AFAS", The Automotive Fine Artists Society, at Pebble Beach Concours on the lawn.

The artist would print this image first at Overland Press, without the text in a small amount for the signed and numbered limited edition, then they would stop the press and add more paper and add the final sheet of film that included the gold type. Thus the same paper, printing inks, and press that the limited edition was printed on, and printed at the same time.
