Set of two French Louis XV style hand-painted nesting tables, circa 1930s, with details including cabriole legs with hand-carved foliage and scroll feet, scalloped table edge, delicate floral painted tabletops, and hand-carved side aprons of floral swags and fleur de lis. The painted tops are recessed into the frames and fitted with removable glass tops for protection. The larger table shows more wear because it was without glass for a period.
The details, patina, and colors combine for a perfect French Provincial blend of rustic elegance.
The main colors include a goldenrod/ochre yellow, olive green, gold, ivory, and bronze. Hand-painted floral details are in light green, bright green, and peach.
