This work by Vjekoslav Vojo Radoičić has the Fiume / … Read more Vjekoslav Vojo Radoičić, Croatian, 1984, acrylic on lace trimmed textile. This work by Vjekoslav Vojo Radoičić has the Fiume / Abbazia early twentieth century photography studio of E Jelussich as its subject. I don't read Croatian but I have done some research and photos by this studio included portraits but also images of boats. This depicts a sea captain with a woman in a landscape along with a ship at sea. Antique photography Studio was a subject that Vojo worked with in several pieces.

Framed in a metal frame with plexiglass. Textile size is approximately 9.5" x 13"

Vojo did many works like this on lace trimmed textiles, they were often done when he was traveling.

Vjekoslav Vojo Radoičić (10 November 1930 – 15 July 2017), was a Croatian painter, sculptor, printmaker, and stage designer. He worked and lived in Vienna, London, Zagreb, but spent most of his time in Rijeka, Croatia. See less
