Brody, part of the Kerouc / Ginsberg Lower East Side Manhattan "Beatnick" scene, was an artist notably admired and collected by William Burroughs.
Her painting of poet-musician Jackson Mac Low can be seen in the background of a famous photograph of Burroughs.
