The heavy pair of cast iron bookends has detailed deep casting that shows a scene of a woman spinning yarn. The scene is bordered by Greek columns with a laurel wreath above. The bookends have a deep dark brown bronzed patina. The bookends rest flat on a surface. There are no marks or labels. MEASUREMENTS 5” (12.7 cm) wide x 2” (5.1 cm) deep x 4 7/8” (12.4 cm) tall. Weighs 5 lbs 4.3 oz (2390 g) CONDITION There are no breaks, dents, or cracks, There are a few small patina losses to the backs and bases. The felts show considerable wear and so someone applied removable round felt protectors to one of the bookends A heavy, well cast pair of bookends that have a classical design.
