These stools are generally attributed to the neo-Gothic style that experienced a revival in Spain in the 1950s. Their design and manufacture date back to 1850. They were used in Spanish farmhouses for sitting down when milking animals. The aging is due to the fact that they were pieces that were left outdoors. They retain a beautiful layer of original aged patina. They are structurally very solid. See less
