Manufactured by bd barcelona in spain. The couture armchair is a fusion of artisanal and industrial techniques. The stitches represent a topographic map resulting in an organic pattern, simulating the growth in wood. The use of gradient colours for the wood, amplifies the effect of layers used and increases the sensation of unifying hard materials. The result is an armchair with strong personality which holds maximum evidence of artisanal processes. Materials and finishes: seat structure in solid wood and upholstered. Backrest in varnished walnut or degraded birch made up of pieces sewn together with polyamide thread. Upholstered in bd’s different materials. Includes in swivel system. About the designer: stockholm based design studio färg & blanche was founded in 2010 by the swedish designer fredrik färg and designer emma marga blanche, born in france. As a studio, they work across a wide variety of fields, collaborating with established furniture brands such as bd barcelona design, gärsnäs, petite friture and design house stockholm to name a few, as well as producing their own collections and limited art pieces for galleries. About the manufacturer: in 1972, a group of young architects and designers from barcelona created bd with the aim of producing and marketing furniture and other objects for our projects, with complete creative freedom and with a criterion that has turned out to be quite different from the norm at companies in the sector, regarding both the shape and function. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
