All our rugs are cleaned in a professional rug laundry. The first step of the cleaning process consists of a thorough beating of the rug to remove dust and mites, if any. The subsequent pre-wash with a PH neutral soap removes stains. During the main wash, the carpet is washed by hand through and through wet - a special soap is gentle on the fibers and preserves the carpets natural wool grease. Machine pressing and spinning are used for initial dewatering, so that the carpets are then hang-dried with permanent circulating air. See less
