A two part Louis XV style cupboard (buffet à deux corps) with nicely carved doors with prominent scrolls a recurring decorative motif running through the cornice, doors and feet. Doors are particularly elegant with sweeping curved panels and moldings. Exterior is painted a medium gray, interior is painted a beautiful antique faded turquoise with unpainted waxed pine shelves: two in the upper cabinet, one below. Shelves are fitted with a plate stop, to allow for display at the back of the shelves. Sturdy antique condition, later paint with attractive light wear, heavy worming, especially visible in the bottom of the case, sporadic throughout. Original glass except for one pane.
