This is a beautiful original example of this super rare swivel chair by hans j.wegner for johannes andersen, designated jh502.
this amazing executive office chair model jh-502 was designed by hans wegner for master cabinetmaker johannes hansen. It was presented at the copenhagen cabinetmaker guild exhibition at kunstindustrimuseet in 1955. This lovely example, circa 1960s has a polished steel frame on four-star steel foot with casters. The seat is upholstered in all original brown leather and is beautifully patinated. The solid oak back has the most marvelous grain and finish. A design classic.
