Jürg Bally (1923 - 2002) was a Swiss furniture designer, interior designer, and product designer. He ran an interior design store in Zurich's old town, where he presented his own designs as well as international designs. Renowned brands such as Hermann Miller, Knoll International, and Danese were represented in Bally's showroom. The "Ess. Tea. Table" was designed by Bally in 1951. The table can be transformed from a dining table into a deep tea table with just one flick of the wrist. An ingenious mechanism allows the user to adjust the table to the desired height. The maximum height is 67cm. The lowest position is 40cm. In between there are 5 more steps, at a distance of about 6cm. By the way, the name of the table forms a play on words. "Eat. Tea. Table" (or S.T. Table for short) has the same sound as the word "aesthetic". Our table was produced in the 1950s by the company Wohnhilfe. Three crossed legs made of solid beech wood form the base. On it rests the top made of veneered walnut. Beech wood lipping. The whole table was restored by a professional restorer in a very elaborate way. The complete varnish was removed, then everything was re-stained and varnished. The table is in perfect condition - absolutely no signs of use. The mechanism works perfectly. Diameter 99cm. Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final

Cancellations

- Chairish Express In-Home Delivery
- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.
- Shipping charges start at $999 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.
- Shipping charges start at $799 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.
- Only available in selected markets.
- Chairish In-Home Delivery
