A striking rare vintage offset lithograph print after oil painting "Dynamism of a Head" (1934) by Paul Klee. Comes from a rare First Limited Edition folio of the artist published by Albert Skira in Geneva, Switzerland in the 1940s. Printed on one side. Numbered at the lower right corner: 4. Excellent condition - minor edge wear, never framed.

Here Klee mingles and varies several techniques of the brush - hatchings, rectangles of color and magic squares--which enable him not only to compose a purely abstract symphony of colors evocative of stained glass, but also to link concrete figures to the ground and atmosphere that surround them. Thus they are swept up in soaring rhythms and bridge the gulf between the self and the world.
