Auguste Brouet (1872-1941, Benezit-listed) created "Les Saltimbanques" in pastel. An accomplished French artist, Brouet handily captures the eccentricity of the circus world in this work. Judging by the costumes, one imagines that this scene was drawn around the end of the 19th Century, perhaps slightly later.
Excellent condition (no issues); reframed recently.
