We are delighted to offer this one of a kind pair of super luxurious George Smith, Full Scroll Arm, Armchairs, … Read more We are delighted to offer this one of a kind pair of super luxurious George Smith, Full Scroll Arm, Armchairs, upholstered in brand new Mulberry Sporting Life silk velvet upholstery These chairs are exclusive to me, I have a matching sofa being upholstered in the same fabric which is based on a Howard & Son’s design with ornately carved Claw & Ball base frame The chairs themselves are the large size which is really quite large by modern day standards, they have overstuffed feather filled cushions which recess under the back of the backrest as they should do with original Howards and George Smith seating, what that means is you are never sitting on the absolute back of the seat cushion so it stays plump for longer. The fabric is Mulberry Sporting Life, it’s a silky soft velvet, it retails for £179 per square meter and is just about as fine as you could ever hope to see. The chairs have been meticulously upholstered so the pattern repeat along the top of the cushion runs perfectly to the front and then on to the frame, the arm panels match and so on, this is fine upholstery at its best Dimensions Height:- 83cm Width:- 91.5cm Depth:- 100cm Seat height:- 53cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
