Effortless beauty combined with timeless elegance and Italian Renaissance style, this hand-knotted wool vintage Persian Tabriz rug. Taking center stage is a concentric lozenge medallion anchored with palmettes on either end and side. The strong color variations of blue and light green contrast between the two planes creating a unity that is undeniably beautiful in its complexity. Elaborate corner spandrels extend along the inner composition. It is enclosed with a Shah Abbas palmette border flanked with an inner and outer guard band. Rendered in variegated shades of blue, light green, red, tan, cerulean, celadon, champagne, robin's egg blue, ecru, baby blue, sand, and light pink with other accent colors. From Saltillo and talavera to austere elegance, this vintage Persian rug is the perfect complement to bucolic Mediterranean chateaus, Tuscan villas, and Italian farmhouses inspired by Italian landscapes.
