Chinese landscape scroll, freely drawn colored inks on heavy paper, mounted on a silver, gold and light green silk brocade … Read more Chinese landscape scroll, freely drawn colored inks on heavy paper, mounted on a silver, gold and light green silk brocade in a dragon medallions pattern, signed, with two poems and numerous red seal marks in various sizes and shapes scattered about the top and bottom of the image. In the foreground, large bouldered and rocky outcrops line the near side of a riverbank and support a grove of leafy trees, grasses and shrubs. Two Chinese figures are standing on a grassy spit near a small bridge; the leafy grove continues on the far side grassy riverbanks with low hills and massive ascending palisades marching into the distance in traditional Chinese aerial perspective. The image size is 24 7/8" wide x 50 3/4" high. With a dark silk hanging cord and storage cord at the top and black jikusaki at the bottom. The outer scroll covering is golden colored raw silk. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century. See less
