Finely sculpted details show the intricate shell on his head and the serious expression on his face. An exquisite example of cold patina. Signed R. Thiele. Rudolf Thiele was a German sculptor born in 1856. He died in 1930. Neptune's bust sits on a square base reading "CYKLON". On the back of the base:
"Made in Austria

Turn Wien

Ernst Wahliss was a leading Vienna retailer in porcelain and ceramic goods. His Vienna store was established in 1863.

19" wide

19" deep

Base is 9.25" x 7.5"
