This Really is an Exceptionally Nice Looking Antique American Primitive Carry Basket. Circa Late 19th Century. Classic New England Center Hoop - Steam Bent Ash Carry Handle Style. Note! that the Basket Transitions in Shape and Form from being Round at the Top Rim to Rectangular at the Base - Bottom. It is Completely Hand Made - Hand Woven out of indigenous Brown Ash & Splint. It has that Wonderful Honest Naturally Aged Surface Patina and Color that Cannot be Duplicated. It Displays Beautifully. I acquired this piece in the Down East Coastal Maine Region. Basket itself Measures 7 inches Tall at Top Rim x 10 3/4 inches Long x 10 1/4 inches Wide.
It is 11 3/4 inches Tall Overall including the Carry Handle.
