Absolutely beautiful antique late 19th century hand carved mother of pearl shell, depicting a woman sitting on a fishing basket, … Read more Absolutely beautiful antique late 19th century hand carved mother of pearl shell, depicting a woman sitting on a fishing basket, leaning against a large nautical cleat for tying up sailing ships at dock, with some rope and baskets in the foreground and a sailboat in the background at sea. It makes wonderful use of the natural contours of the shell, really a unique piece that was done by a very talented artisan!

It measures 8" wide by 7 1/4" tall and 1" deep. It is in very good condition as you can see in the photographs, with no discernible damage that I can see, just age appropriate wear.
