Shades of deep green, deep blue and a bit of brown. Each shade has a heavy dose of black, making the overall look very neutral. Fantastically textured.

Rendered on Amate paper. Beautifully double matted with an edging of olive green. Framed under glass. Gold leafed wooden frame.

Signed, titled and dated by the artist.

Marta Palau’s work has been featured in the 2006 book entitled “Marta Palau Naualli” (shown in listing)
Palau (b. 1934) has had solo exhibitions in Paris, Los Angeles and Mexico City among others and has been the recipient of many international awards including the Premio Instalaciùn of the Daienal de la Habana, the Bergerpreis at the 5th Fellbach Triennial Germany, and the Creador Art Estico, that confers the Consejo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes, Mexico City.
