I spotted this beauty from an estate sale from a mansion in Santa Barbara, CA, It happens very seldom that we find an antique 140 years + in this kind of condition. The estate where I bough this from, it had a huge stairways to the second floor & this beauty was hung on the wall in middle way, possibly 15' high. It is made of wool & silk, all leaves & flowers are highlighted with silk plus all human's characters ae silk. Amazingly, is in awesome condition with absolutely very fine quality, please, refer to the last image that shows back of the tapestry. Another thing that I must mention, this tapestry already have rings for hanging, you just need a decorative wood or iron rod plus decorative ending that screws at both ends. You could buy those from any drapery store. Now here is the most important part, which is the value. First off, I must say that if you go to any retail shops for something like this at this size, which is 9' in width & 8' in height, there is no guarantee that they have it & even if they did, it could have a price tag of minimum $20,000.00, and it might have multiple restoration. As you see, I am offering this beauty at the sacrificing price of $7,999.00, which is a give away price. One more thing subject also, is very important in tapestries, the subject that you see on this one, show teh family sitting in the garden with their pets, scenery plus human & animal characters adds up to the value.
