Bright and dynamic depiction of two birds fighting by Filipino artist JG Rivera (20th Century). Splashes of color surround a flourish of feathers. At the center of the composition, the two birds are locked in combat, beaks nearly touching. Spiraling out from the center, bird wings and tails appear to be flapping, due to the way this piece was executed with a palette knife.
Signed and dated "JG Rivera 70 Manila" in the lower left corner.
