This wonderful … more This is an exquisite French giltwood and marble top coffee table with Limoges plaques, circa 1950 in date. This wonderful coffee table is rectangular in shape and has four elegant and stylish tapering fluted legs. The frieze features stunning circular porcelain Limoges plaques that depict various romantic scenes of courting couples set in highly decorative ormolu frames. The top of the coffee table has a magnificent Violet Breche marble top which adds extra splendour to this stunning piece of furniture. Add a touch of unparalleled opulence to a special room in your home with this impressive coffee table. Condition: In excellent condition, please see photos for confirmation. Dimensions in cm: Height 49 x Width 100 x Depth 46 Dimensions in inches: Height 1 foot, 7 inches x Width 3 foot, 3 inches x Depth 1 foot, 6 inches Violet Breche marble is extracted from the town of Serravezza, near to the Carrara region in Italy. It is a very heterogeneous marble made up of hues going from white to dark violet, whilst passing through shades of pink, all combined together with a violet coloured cement. In his Dictionary of Business and Industry, Blanqui describes Violet Breche. “This marble that is frequently used on the most beautiful churches in Italy, and is found on several tables and columns in the galleries of the Louvre Museum, offers an elegant detail to monumental architecture. The quarries that produce it are several miles from Serravezza, and are found in the commune of Stazzema. When the fragments which make up Violet Breche are large, in other words, when the lilacs, pinks, and whites, are prominent, it can only be used for monumental architecture, but when the colours are less prominent and equally spread across the whole surface of the marble, it can be used to make fireplaces and luxurious furniture.” less

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).

Cancellations
