This portrayal of the iconic bridge is from a low perspective, and focuses on the crisp light and shadows as they interplay with the linear geometries of the structure. Two tiny silhouetted figures, one on the bridge and one below, give the piece a sense of scale.

A Santa Cruz, California graphic designer, Laura Manss earned a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts from San Jose State University of California. She owned and operated The Design Company starting in the late 1970’s, which created logos for the California International Airshow, Ventana Inn Big Sur, and the Salinas Visitors and Convention Bureau, in addition to posters for the 1982 Monterey Jazz Festival, the Batista Moon Studio, and the Monterey County Wine and Food Festival. Later in the 1980’s Manss served as the Creative Director and owner of Matrix Communications, Inc, which produced award winning advertising design. In 1984 Manss co-founded Full Steam Marketing & Design. See less
