This is a vintage bronze sculpture of a standing Buddhist robed figure on a lotus base carrying an object. Urna on forehead is cast in bronze. Surface decoration on the robe and carried object is in intricately applied gilt detail. This surface decoration remains mostly intact except for areas of oxidation evident in the photos. The surface has a light sheen and possibly a previously-applied, light protective waxed finish.
Four-character Chinese Kangxi dynasty mark is inside a square at the rear base of his robe. Age of this figure is unknown, but it is a highly decorative sculpture and curiosity. See infant Buddha companion figure listed separately.
