Important set of six “Benedikte” dining or side chairs by Ole Wanscher, 1942. The chairs are made from exclusive Cuban Mahogany and the seats are upholstered with black horsehair w. black leather pipings. Made by cabinetmaker A. J. Iversen in the 1950s. The chair got its name after a set was acquired by Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte of Denmark when it was exhibited at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
