It is … Read more This is a Very Nice Looking Large Size Antique Country Primitive Wood Splint Basket. Circa Late 19th Century. It is Completely Hand Made - Hand Woven out of North American Indigenous Wood. It also has Yellow Stripes - Polychrome Decorated Features. Note! that it is Basically Round at the Top Rim but it Transitions to a Square - Rectangular Base - Bottom. I acquired this piece on one of my recent Picking Adventures in the Down East Coastal Main Region. It has Wonderful Honest Naturally Aged Color & Patina. It is in Good Structural and Cosmetic Condition and Displays Very Nicely. It does have a Few Pieces of Top Rim Wrap Splint Loss - This Can Best seen in the last 2 photographs in my Chairish Listing. It also has a few minor weave imperfection in the Bottom - Lower Interior area.
It Measures 7 inches Tall x 15 inches Long x 13 3/4 inches Wide at Top Rim
