For the sake of practicality, this is an oven-to-table set comprised of a vintage 1970s Dolphin Beech wood cradle (rack or trivet) made in Thailand that typically holds a flat-bottomed 4-Quart baking dish of up to 10" in diameter, or can cradle a 6" diameter footed bowl for salads or other prepared side dishes. It's great for serving vegetable casseroles, Yorkshire Pudding, soufflés, or tossed greens.
The wood cradle measures 12 1/2" (from rim to rim) x 9.75" x 4 3/4" in height, and the cross bars are 1" from the surface - It measures 10" (within the two side bars)
It has been paired here with a contemporary Anchor Hocking 2-Quart "Fire King" glass baking dish (made in the United States) with lid that measures 9" in diameter and 4" in height, with a lid that adds another 1" and measures 10 1/2" from the tips of the bilateral handles.
