The Sea of Marmara is an Original China Ink Drawing on a blue paper realized by Guy Pierre Fauconnet (1882-1920). The very beautifull little artwork in in good condition on a blue electric paper, included a cream colored cardboard (20x24 cm). Hand-signed and titled by the artist. Guy Pierre Fauconnet born in Chelles in 1882, he moved to the Palais du Luxembourg where his father was head of the Senate's stenography in 1892. He fell seriously ill there and was left with a weak heart that killed him in 1920 at the age of 38. In 1899, he took classes at the Camille Julian painting school. He exhibited his works between 1902 and 1914, at the Salon des Artistes Français then at the Salon des Indépendants and illustrated several books while being employed as a stenographer in the Senate. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
