The artwork is signed in the bottom right corner and on the back.

Oil on canvas by Angiolo Volpe, depicting the trees mentioned in the title. One tree in particular is the main subject of the artwork, standing out in the centre of the composition, in dark
colours, contrasting with the lighter colours of the landscape.
The quick brushstrokes Volpe used to give the sense of the leaves moved by the sea breeze are similar to the Macchiaioli style, which the artist loved and was artistically very closed to. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
