Anfore is a collection of biscuit clay-dyed porcelain vases with opaque finishing, made in three different shapes and colors. Golden spheres allow the vase to be placed both vertically or horizontally. The idea draws inspiration from the Roman amphorae, the shape of which allows them to lean and wedge in place during transport, or be placedvertically when in use. In the 1500s Anfora was also a unit of measure, which was eventually shortened to the symbol @ by Italian merchants, before being reintroduced in 1972 by Ray Tomlinson as a divider in the first email addresses. The dimension of thisAnfore vase is a multiple of the original Roman amphorae capacitysextario, measuring0.54 liters. Beyond contemporary shapes, the essential and timeless design of Anfore echoes the past and communicates a sense of belonging.
