Anfore is a collection of biscuit porcelain vases that are clay dyed. The vases come with an opaque finish, available in three different shapes and colors. The applied golden spheres allow the vase to be placed vertically or leaned horizontally. The idea draws inspiration from the Roman amphorae: thanks to their shape they can be leaned and wedged in each other duringshipping or placed vertically on a pedestal when in use. The term anfora was used in the 16th century as a unit to measure weight and capacity and later short to the "@" sign by Italian merchants; the sign was repurpused in 1972 by Ray Tomlinson as a divider in the first email addresses. The dimensions of Zpstudio'sAnfore vases are multiples of the original Roman amphorae capacity: congio (nearly 3,28 litres) and sextario (0,54 litres).
The vases come in different dimensions. Please contact us for more information. Signed by Maker Signed by Maker,Signed by Maker
