This fine porcelain Chloe vase by Royal Worcester in the Evesham Gold pattern stands 6” high and decorated with gorgeous … Read more This fine porcelain Chloe vase by Royal Worcester in the Evesham Gold pattern stands 6” high and decorated with gorgeous fruit sprays—apples with apple blossoms, bright violet plums and orange peaches and apricots tinged with red. The design is in the tradition of still life fruit compositions which had be used for centuries to test a painters skill.

The bottom of the vase is stamped with the classic Royal Worcester mark incorporating the number 51 signifying the year the company was founded (1751) inside a crescent within a larger circle, with the crown attached above. The mark includes the year 1961.

Worcester’s Evesham Pattern was introduced in 1961 as the beginning of a new trend for more informal dining that was to bring the humble casserole dish from the kitchen to the dining table. Evesham was named after the local fruit-growing region near Worcester. Crafted In England and Portugal.

In mint condition: the only sign of wear is underneath the footed bottom, see photo #6. See less
