otto riedel was an austrian painter and illustrator.
his artwork has been characterized by many different techniques, from sketches to ink drawings, watercolors, oil and acrylic paintings to wood and metal prints.
otto riedel traveled a lot. During world war ii, he was inspired to draw from the villages of russia and france. Its period of intensive creation began in the 1950s, which was associated with numerous trips to italy, greece, yugoslavia, turkey, but also to the north.
numerous exhibitions in austria and germany have made his work well known. He has received personal awards through the long-term presidency of the klosterneuburg artists' association (kkb), the title of austrian professor and numerous other honors, such as the silver medal at the european exhibition in brussels, the klosterneuburg culture prize and the rudolf honor. -von-alt of the künstlerhaus, whose honorary member was appointed in 1981.
riedel developed an unmistakable style of architectural drawings, as well as wood, linen and metal prints, and left behind an extensive body of drawings, prints, watercolors and oil paintings.
he died in 1991 and was buried in klosterneuburg cemetery. This piece has an attribution mark,

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
