This attractive panel is from Gansu province where it would originally have been used as one of several internal window panels in a Chinese home.
It is beautifully hand carved in a geometric pattern of eight rows of eight individual flowers, all set within a thick outer frame.
Today it makes a unique wall decoration that is sure to throw unusual shadows on a wall when lit.
