The pastoral scene in the embossing is an elegantly illustrated scene of a deer and a gatherer, renown symbols of culture and art that embrace a nostalgic and iconic time period that is richly interwoven in Asian arts and antiques.
Coalesced with a translucent milk glass globe top, further distinguishing the uniqueness of this gorgeous antique table lamp. Ultimately finished with a fit cast bronze neck and base featuring reticulated edging and a simple waisted rim. A popular practice in the 19th century France was to take Asian porcelain pieces and fit them in bronze.
