They have pretty yellow eyes that I think are glass. They are made in Italy; both are marked the same. A lot of carved details of the wings and claws. These are some kind of stone - they are heavy. Marble or alabaster? Not sure as the surface is rough to the touch - the photo with the black background was taken with a flash to show how it sparkles! I have no idea of the age - just guessing.
