A mid-century, Impressionist oil showing a group of sailing boats leaning into the wind off the coast of Brittany near the resort town of Trouville. A fresh and breezy seascape by this French Impressionist painter who was born in Besançon and painted with Emilio Grau-Sala and Maurice Brianchon. Nourry specialized in portraits and figural works and is also known for his landscapes of the Jura and Provence.
