Beautiful two-drawer exotic tiger wood cabinet with beveled mirror that we believe dates to the 1920s. Tiger maple wood is not a different species of maple. Instead it is a unique design of the grain of maple due to how the tree grows. This unusual grain pattern creates a highly coveted wood for furniture. The term Tiger Maple is most often given to a Curly Maple with exceptional or heavier than the normal figure design.
The drawers are dove tailed, the mirror is beveled, and the hardware and all components are original - a wonderful display of craftsmanship. The piece rests on small casters making it easy to move around. With the exception of a few abrasions as shown in the pictures, the piece is in great estate condition and a wonderful addition to any room providing both storage and a mirror. It's diminutive size makes it easily used in multiple scenarios, from a bedside table to a welcoming foyer piece containing storage drawers, a mirror and plenty of tabletop space for catchalls, key dishes, and mail organizers
The base cabinet measures approximately 26.5" tall, 33" wide, and 19.5" deep. The mirror frame measures 43" tall, 30.5" wide and 1.5" deep, making the overall cabinet height approximately 69.5" tall. The actual mirror measures approximately 42" tall, 20" wide and 1.25" deep.
